Before we ever talked to Rachael and Zach, I got a call from our wedding coordinator friend Maggie at Eagle Ridge. She said “Cathy, I just met with this couple that would be PERFECT for you guys!” She went on to tell me that they love Harry Potter, they have two dogs who they adore, and that they’re incredibly sweet, funny, and laid back. She was right, that’s the PERFECT recipe for an UnPosed Couple! I was so excited to talk to them so when Rachael reached out just a couple of days later, I was elated! We had the most fun phone call talking about their wedding plans and hopes for their day. I knew right away that she and Zach would be so much fun to work with.
Once we started planning their engagement session, they mentioned Maquoketa Caves State Park. Jeff and I hadn’t been there before, but after some Google searching we thought it would be a perfect spot for this adventurous couple. Guys, I am not kidding you when I say this session quickly jumped to the top of our all time favorite engagement sessions ever! Rachael and Zach climbed boulders, got into water, and trusted our vision completely with their session. Because of that, we created some truly unique images for them that we are so crazy proud of. Jeff and I can’t decide which one of these we’re going to print large to hang in the studio because so many of them deserve to be in print! It’s down to a few contenders, but we still haven’t been able to land on the perfect one 😉 Do you have one from these that you’d print if you were us?
