Kaitlin and Tim met each other when they were both in high school at Woodruff High School in Peoria, IL. Though they met back then, it wasn’t until a few years later that they started hanging out and eventually fell in love. They are a hilarious couple! I know Kaitlin because I went to college with her brothers and knew them both well. Through them, I got to know Kaitlin. When she contacted us to photograph her wedding I was elated!
Their engagement session took us back to some familiar stomping grounds around Peoria. These photos are actually from their 2nd engagement session. We had met down there one day and the rain was so bad we couldn’t do their full session, so we go them a couple of quick photos they could use for the Save-The-Date and then rescheduled their full session to later in the year. I’m so glad we did because the day of their session turned out great! These two are silly and quirky and that made their session hilarious to photograph. Though the photo isn’t in here, they took photos near a fire hydrant simply because they wanted to put the caption on it that said “Nothing can extinguish our love” 🙂 Truly, they kept us laughing the whole time!

We started their photos at their old stomping grounds of Woodruff. Across the street were the tennis courts where they had played and where Tim had proposed to Kaitlin. Sadly, the courts have been demolished but they wanted photos there anyway. Of course were up for that!

Oak Park is right near Woodruff too so we went up there for a few photos as well. My favorite part of this part was when Tim and Kaitlin bowed to each other and started to dance in the pavilion. Spontaneous moments like that are the best!
