Hi all! We hope you had an awesome weekend and are ready to kick off the week well! Today is the start of a super fun series here on the blog. At the end of each year Jeff and I take several days to look over the work we’ve done in our weddings that year. We talk about the good, the bad, what we did right, and what we did wrong. We talk through the areas we focused on improving that year and see if we made the strides we had set for ourselves. Then we identify what areas we’re going to focus on improving in the coming year and make a game plan for moving forward. This process is fun for us because it keeps us always moving forward and always striving to be better than we were the year before. A quote that I’ve seen on Pinterest a few times says something about only comparing yourself to who you were yesterday. That’s something Jeff and I really try to take to heart. We can look around and see photographers doing incredible things in incredible locations, but what matters most is what we are doing in the amazing places we see with the amazing couples we have.
Through that process, we also try to pick our Best images from the year. These images aren’t a reflection of the people in them. We adore every one of our couples! But they are a reflection of what we think we did well. Did the pose work? How was their reaction? Does this image really reflect who this person truly is as we’ve come to know them? Did we get the lighting right? Etc. etc. etc.
Which brings us to today. We are kicking off this series right with our UnPosed Best of 2015 Bridal Portraits! We had an incredible group of couples in 2015 and choosing these images was so so HARD! We hope you love these photos as much as we do!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Check back in Wednesday for Best of Groom Portraits!!!
