Just a couple of short weeks ago we had the honor of joining the sweetest couple for their beautiful wedding day. McKenna and Brandon spent over a year planning the most beautiful wedding with the most amazing rustic chic details. Each part of their day was carefully thought out and planned. McKenna’s mom also did an incredible job helping them pull together all the details so that the entire day flowed effortlessly.
McKenna and Brandon both stayed at the largest house on Eagle Ridge’s property which was perfect because the guys had the whole basement game floor level to themselves all morning while the girls got ready on the main floor. McKenna spent the morning hanging out with her girls and had her mom and her maid of honor help her get ready before she met Brandon for their first look.
Because it was one of her bridesmaid’s birthdays, McKenna really wanted to make sure she had a cake and got sung to so we gathered all the girls and surprised her with an adorable oversized kitten cupcake and the girls serenaded her with Happy Birthday. It was such a sweet moment! Then, just before McKenna got in her dress, she got a picture with all the guys in their wedding party because all of them had the most AMAZING socks (courtesy of McKenna and Brandon of course!). I just love this shot because it makes me laugh!!! One of my favorite parts of the day are capturing our brides with their moms and maids of honor as they get dressed. When it’s just them alone there are such sweet moments that happen naturally and I get to sit back and just photograph away. McKenna did a big reveal of her dress to her bridesmaids. None of them had seen it before the wedding so this was a big moment and their reactions were so sweet!!! While all that was happening upstairs, Brandon was getting all spiffy downstairs. His best man helped him get all put together. Just before we left for their first look, McKenna and I paused to take a few photos of her with this amazing antique car that one of their groomsmen brought for them to use for photos. Isn’t this car just amazing?!?!
While we were taking those, Brandon and Jeff were already on their way to the first look location which was an all new spot for us! We happened to see it as we were driving around the Territory one day about a week before McKenna and Brandon’s wedding and we knew as soon as we saw it that it would be perfect for them!!!
I LOVE how their first look went!!! The genuine smiles and sheer joy you see on both of their faces was truly priceless!!!! They are so perfect together!!!! Then the wedding party met up with us and this group was amazing!!!! Full of laughs and jokes and so much fun!!! They made our job incredibly easy naturally doing all sorts of crazy things!
We wanted to grab just a couple of quick photos of McKenna alone before we left for the ceremony and I’m so glad we did. I just love how her veil blew around her back and really showed off the beauty of her dress! Their ceremony was sweet from the first moment that Brandon saw McKenna. We always tell couples that a first look won’t ruin the groom’s reaction when you walk down the aisle. In fact, in our experience, if you see each other beforehand it usually makes his reaction even better. Not only did Brandon get very emotional when McKenna walked down that aisle, but even his best man and her bridesmaids were tearing up. It was just the beginning of a very sweet ceremony. After the ceremony we did a few quick photos of the whole wedding party with the kids that walked down the aisle and then McKenna and Brandon snuck away with us for a couple of short minutes to celebrate them officially being husband and wife.
While I was taking those photos with them, Jeff was upstairs in the ballroom getting pictures of their incredible details! The rustic chic elements throughout their room blew us away!!!! The centerpieces and accents done by HandPick’d were just amazing! I mean, there were real PEACHES in some of the arrangements!!!
The smiles on the faces of these two were infectious and set the tone for what was a truly fun evening for everyone! The sunset that night was too pretty not to take advantage of! The After Party kept the dance floor hopping all night long!!! Just before we headed out for the night, we did a little mock sparkler exit with McKenna and Brandon. The story behind this image is pretty hilarious, but far too long for a blog post so you’ll just have to ask us about it next time you see us 🙂
Thank you to the incredible team that came together to make McKenna and Brandon’s wedding day amazing!!!!
