Just one moth ago, we had the honor of joining Courtney and Alec for their gorgeous coral, peach, and gold wedding at Eagle Ridge Resort. The day was stunning every moment. Though the day was a bit warm, that didn’t take away from Courtney and Alec’s pure joy at finally getting to be called husband and wife. 🙂
Courtney started her day getting ready in the house she and her girls rented at Eagle Ridge. Courtney chose to get ready on her own in one of the bathrooms so she could enjoy some private, quiet moments to think about the day ahead of her. Her attentive bridesmaids made sure she was well taken care of throughout the morning and it gave her plenty of time to relax as she got ready. She even took a few moments before putting her dress on to spend time with her pups.
Alec was getting ready in a nearby rental home and was anxiously anticipating his first look with Courtney. He couldn’t wait to see her!
It was finally time for their first look and both of them were so excited to see each other! The smiles on their faces throughout the photos said it all!
Once we had taken a bit of time with the two of them, it was time to bring in the wedding party. And what a fun wedding party it was! The girls all had on pretty coral dresses while the guys wore sand colored tuxes with coral to coordinate with the ladies. This first “family photo” of this little family was so cute! 🙂
Because August can be brutally hot in the Midwest, Courtney and Alec chose to have their wedding inside the Eagle Ballroom instead of chancing the weather outside. This allowed everyone to remain cool and comfortable while still having a stunning view with the large windows behind the wedding party.
After the ceremony it was time for the cocktail hour and reception festivities!
Courtney and Alec shared a first dance, followed by dances with each of their parents. Courtney even danced a sweet dance with her mom.
The party was hopping all night long thanks to Brandon with The After Party! Those guys know how to keep people on the dance floor!!!
Right before we left, we snuck Alec and Courtney out of the ballroom for a quick night photo. Because it had been slightly rainy early in the morning on their wedding day, Jeff wanted to create something with a water effect so we used some off camera lighting, spray bottles, and a few other photographer tricks and created this image for them. A few of their guests were outside watching us do this and loved the photo just as much as Alec and Courtney did!
Courtney and Alec, thank you so much for asking us to be part of your special day! It was such an incredible day and we’re so glad we met and know you both. We wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
