There are wedding days when you feel like every single thing is firing on all cylinders. Ideas are flowing, everyone is where they are supposed to be on time, and absolutely every detail falls into place. These days are few and far between and when you get them, you realize the magnitude of how incredible it is. So it was for Jess & Megan. The day was perfect from beginning to end. There weren’t hiccups. There were no meltdown moments. There was no one running late. Every detail that was planned was executed excellently. All of the vendors worked together seamlessly. It was incredible through and through. Which is why this has been one of the hardest weddings to choose photos for the blog EVER!!!! Honestly, if I could have a blog post that was 700+ photos long, you’d see every single image. It was that good! So grab a cup of coffee/tea/cocoa and cuddle in to see some of the photos of Jessica & Megan’s gorgeous wedding day!
Megan’s girls watched the Ellen & Jimmy Fallon Lip Sync Battle which led to them all serenading the rest of us in the room. If you haven’t seen that battle, you need to watch it!!! Hilarious!!!!
Then it was time for their first look! And ladies and gentlemen, this first look is one for the record books. These true reactions are the very reason we adore first looks when the couple gets to spend some time together on their own.
Then it was time to meet their wedding party for photos!!!! These guys had so much fun with their photos and made our job SO EASY!!!! They cheered, laughed and celebrated together making Jessica & Megan feel like the most important people in the world!
Next, we headed to Prairie Street Brewhouse where the ceremony was to take place. We spent some time taking photos by the docks before everyone took a break to get ready for the wedding.
While the wedding party took some time to freshen up, Jeff and I snuck into the reception room to see it all set up and get some detail photos before everyone else got in there. Jessica & Megan really decked out the room complete with black lanterns they sought out and succulent guest favors they planted themselves!
Then it was time for the ceremony! The ceremony itself was so special and so emotional for all of us that attended. There were so many moments I could speak of, but their vows were the most heartfelt vows I have ever heard. There was not a dry eye in the house!
We took just a few more photos of these lovely ladies on the docks before we all went in to party.
After photos on the dock, it was time to party!!!!!! The entrance location for Prairie Street Brewhouse is so great!!! We loved it!!!
Then it was on to dances, toasts that made everyone cry, cutting the cake and partying the night away!!!
Apparently, when they were growing up, Jessica’s parents put this star with her photo at the top of their Christmas tree EVERY YEAR! To say her sister (who was her Maid of Honor) and brother were a bit put out would be an understatement…Jess’s sister gladly handed this star to Megan to use at the top of their tree from now on.
The following photo is the exact moment that Jessica’s brother said “No!” to me taking his picture 🙂 We ended the night the best way we know how-by taking Jessica and Megan out for a few awesome night photos. I’m basically in love with these two pictures!!!!
If you are amazing and stuck with us all the way to the end, thank you. We have a few incredible vendors we need to thank for helping make this day the amazing day that it was for these beautiful women.
