We’ve got a fun fall Iowa farm engagement session to share with you today! Ashley and Mike’s story is actually one of our very favorite stories of a couple finding us ever. Mike reached out to us first actually because he was planning to propose to Ashley. He wondered if we’d be able to photograph the proposal for him. Then, about 2 weeks later Ashley reached out to us about photographing their wedding! Though Mike still hadn’t proposed, they had determined when their wedding date would be and Ashley wanted to get her key vendors in place before any of us were booked. We were HONORED that she reached out to us and even more honored when they chose us to photograph their wedding later this year! Though it didn’t work out for us to be there for their proposal, the four of us got together for engagement photos at their family farm in the fall. The fall around here was super rainy so of course we had to contend with a little rain, but it let up on us fairly quickly and we were able to have so much fun taking photos together!
We loved how much they made each other smile and laugh during their photos! Also, didn’t they do a great job choosing the colors they wore for the day?!?! That sweater of Ashley’s really pops against the corn! This lane is my new all time favorite place in the fall! I mean, those trees are so pretty!!!!!! Of course we couldn’t do photos on a farm without me getting a photo or two of the cows 😉 I kind of love cows! As we were headed to grab dinner together after their session, Ashley called me and asked if we could make a quick stop at this park to get photos with the trees and with the river in the background. We had about 2 minutes before the rain came back in and took advantage of that time to grab these quick photos for them!
Ashley and Mike, we can’t wait for your wedding!!!! It’ll be here so soon!
